Don Mikulenka Custom Builder Inc. was officially founded in 2003 by Don Mikulenka. However, Don’s love for construction began much earlier in his life. As a young boy, he would help his father with numerous construction projects. Don loved learning about how things worked and the unique skills it took to complete each project. It is because of these years in his childhood that he went on to graduate from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science. 

During his time as a builder, Don has worked for companies such as Centex Homes, Stadler Custom Homes and Summit Built Homes. Throughout those years, he worked diligently to gain knowledge and experience, and even won the Summit Award for “Construction Superintendent of the Year” in 1998. Eventually, Don had the opportunity to start his own company building custom homes. Shortly after starting his own company, Don became a home builder for Lisa Nichols Properties (now Nic Abbey Luxury Homes) in San Antonio. He was able to build for many high end clientele in areas such as Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills and Olmos Park. A few years later, Don and his family moved back/relocated to his wife’s hometown of Flatonia, TX bringing the business with them. 

DMCB Inc. has now been serving clients in the Fayette County and surrounding area for 16 years. Don’s experience along with his honesty and integrity is what sets our company apart from the rest. He believes that you should still be able to trust and believe in people, especially when you are entrusting them with something as special as your dream home.
