How We Give Back To Our Community

For 10+ years, Don has been a member of the Flatonia Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Bev, have both served on the Chamber committee and attended monthly meetings. Don served as Chamber Vice President for 4 years and Beverly served as a Director for...

Czhilispiel is our town festival that is put on every year during the last full weekend in October. For 13 years, Don has assisted and served as the Head of Entertainment for the festival where he was in charge of booking and handling all the entertainment for the weekend. Beverly has also helped out with the Lion's Club Pie Auction held on that Saturday for 10+ years.  

Prior to moving back to Flatonia, Don, Bev, and their children helped serve outgoing meal plates for the Sacred Heart Church Picnic. To this day, Don and his family continue to help with the outgoing plates, along with the beer booth, games, and live auction. Don also served on the Finance Committee. Beverly has been teaching CCF for many years and is now in charge of the Church's Youth Group and serves on the Finance Committee.  

Ever since his children were playing little league, Don has donated to the little league association. He served as a little league coach and now helps sponsor teams. His son Zach has followed in his footsteps and has been serving as a little league coach for the past 2 years. 

Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization focused on faith and charity. Both Don and Zach are members and continually help promote the KCs by selling raffle tickets and cooking/serving outgoing plates.

Rotary is a global network focused on providing service to others, promoting integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. DMCB supports the Rotary Club by donating to the annual Flatonia Rotary Golf Tournament.

DMCB continues to support FISD and all students by making donations to the Flatonia FFA and school. DMCB is also a proud supporter of the Flatonia Bulldogs & Lady Dogs! 

Don and his company support the Flatonia FFA and its members by donating annually at the Flatonia Livestock Show. The donation goes towards students livestock projects.
